Is Turkey safe to travel?

Absolutely yes, Turkey is safe to travel. Turkey is sharing borders with Syria, Iraq, Iran and Armenia but that does not mean Turkey is a war zone. Turkey is a big country and from the west to the east it is 1400 kms long. About 80 % of the country is safe for visitors to travel.  Considering the incidents in other big cities around the world Istanbul is still one of the safest big cities.
